Gitanjali Rao is a 12-year-old scientist, published writer and STEM advocate.
As an 8th grade student from STEM School Highlands Ranch in Colorado, Gitanjali has created a legacy that encourages youth to participate and learn about STEM. As the inventor of “Tethys”, she has recently been named America’s Top Young Scientist of 2017 by the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge.
Science is her greatest passion and it has been her goal to educate and support STEM by providing activities in schools, taking part in educational podcasts and clubs. In an effort to inspire other children and bring a sense of comradery to science, she has built a community within the Mazu. The goal is to communicate and educate children about everything science in a healthy digital space built just for children.
